iPhone 5 due in summer earliest...!!!!

There is so much attention on the iPad 2.0 now, which we know will probably be faster, sleeker, lighter, hostcameras boast better graphics  and a better screen than the current model, but what do we know about the iPhone 5? What features can we look forward to the next generation of Apple's smartphone and the ships in the summer "at the earliest"?

Well, it seems the device is not in June. This is probably known to the scholars on a price, but Apple always launches new models in June "chatter, but Apple makes the rules. Experts do not. And in any case, it may just be that Apple just can not hit that June date this time around.

Why do I?

[This story is from Computerworld Apple Holic blog. Follow on Twitter or subscribe via RSS to ensure that you are not missing a beat.]

The AAPL supply line gossip dogs over at DigiTimes claim Apple Foxconn Electronics, Foxlink, Gold Circuit Electronics (GCE) and Epistar added as suppliers of parts for the iPhone 5 smartphone - but also warn the iPhone 5 'scheduled for launch in summer the earliest "(emphasis added).

It is bad luck for Japan's Foster, who has lost the earphones Foxconn supply due to the strengthening yen. Foxlink will produce earphone jack sockets for the iPhone 5.

"With a shortage of HDI boards, Apple also has newly added GCE as a supplier, but remains a source of Compeq Manufacturing and Technology Unimicron as well," the report informs, before telling us to LED chips Epistar expected through a technology sharing agreement with Japan Toyoda.

Recently we learned Kinsus Interconnect Technology to provide silicon for the 5's new iPhone baseband chip from Qualcomm. This is probably a combination of CDMA / GSM chip, meaning all those Verizon iPhone users should be able to next-gen Apple smartphone during travel in 'smaller' countries, as all across Europe using GSM networks that do not use compatible with CDMA.

Faster, faster, Pussycat Phone

5 The iPhone is also expected to run on Apple's new A5 CPU, which is built on ARM Cortex A9 architecture. This would be a multi-core processor, significantly boosting the speed of the machine running at. And you can bet that Apple is one U.S. dollar, the new dual-core SGX543 graphics core to use. This means that you can possibly look forward to 1,080 p HDMI video capture and output quality.

In a smartphone. Cast your mind back to the mobile phone you are using only five years ago and you can only go "wow".

Are we a repeat of last years major leak of an early prototype iPhone with iPhone 4 5? Absolutely not: the unit is already in use and already tested, but only by the senior folk who work within the boundaries of the Apple campus.

We have also heard of the iPhone May 5 a new IOS feature that surfaced in IOS 4.3 beta 2, support a feature called "Media Stream." While it is spoken as Apple's move into social networking, it seems little more than a photo gallery function, similar to the existing facility of subscribing to other people within iPhoto iPhoto collections. Although I hope that MobileMe is a fascinating social network eventually - I would value an improvement in the service.

Perhaps a hint more such activities in the other code secret - 'iGroups. This may suggest some interesting location-based features for the iPhone 5?

5 iPhone a wallet

I have previously written about NFC support in the device. Benjamin Vigier, Apple's new mobile commerce manager has vast experience in the NFC field, including stints at Starbucks and PayPal. Apple has the patents, and the iPhone 5 shows a smartphone that also your wallet.

Also look forward to a better video and image capture CCD, flash, and improvements in the external antenna design are all very probably in the next generation of Apple's smartphone.

I would also anticipate some interesting connections between a 5 and an iPhone Mac user, they, with Mac OS X Lion certainly set up some deep attractive opportunities to users of the iPhone, partly to boost Mac sales not Mac-using iPhone owners, and partly to show what the company can do in terms of functionality to use all its platforms.

So what will the iPhone May Be?

It will be:
  • telephone,
  • a compass,
  • a map,
  • your e-mail,
  • text and social networks,
  • an internet device,
  • a game machine,
  • a wallet,
  • Apps can run many
  • your thin client Mac,
  • your video and still camera
  • calculator,
  • pedometer,
  • car keys
  • and airplane boarding pass.

Which, when you think about it, it's not a bad achievement for a product that only within an industry veteran has landed in 2007.

There is the potential of the iPhone 5 can support 3D games, a la Nintendo 3DS, and also that it will be made available to third U.S. carrier, Sprint.

I have not mentioned the possibility of Apple's own mapping and location-based service offerings to enter. Nor (yet), we considered how the company plans wider VoiceOver support the next generation of the device implementation....

Awsome
